Honoring tradition
with visual flair
This booklet highlighted many of the traditions that have grown up around Virginia Tech since its founding in 1872. The author was my unit Director at Tech, who also happened to be the official historian for the University. It needed to be bright and fun, since it was sold through the University Bookstore.
This turned out to be one of the most popular publications we ever produced, being reprinted four times during my tenure there. It utilized photography I directed and comissioned illustrations.
This book recieved First Place at the State and National levels from the National Federation of Press Women.
